Key West Bowls

Key West Bowls I grew up in Montana, and have been woodworking since I was a kid. I donate pieces to all of KWSPCA fundraisers.

I play music for a sunset cruise in Key West, which affords me to spend countless hours in my wood shop during the day.

Ever get the feeling you are being watched while you work? Keera is always nearby, tilting her head at the spinning wood and wondering what I am up to now. It is hard to explain the joy of turning, but the results speak for themselves. What project are you working on this week? https://wix.to/uVR9Gax

Each Ambrosia maple bowl I handcraft is a little piece of living wood art - the streaking left by ambrosia beetles (from blue to green to brown) becomes the design, not something mass-produced. I select the wood, shape and sand each piece by hand, then finish it with a food-safe oil so the grain and colors really sing. These vessels are inspected for quality and made to be both beautiful and usable.

A one-of-a-kind bowl where ambrosia maple does the storytelling - see the making process, the rare streaking, and available pieces in my post. Read more and shop the collection: https://wix.to/EefnEBS

Which streak - blue, green, or brown - would you bring into your home? 🪵✨🌊
