Have you ever felt stuck? Not just stuck in life, but stuck in your own thought patterns to where you can’t see anything except the hardship you’re currently in.

I’ve been there. 23 years old. Driving to a job I hated. Making $10 an hour. Crying on the way there and on the way home. Thinking this is it. This is my whole life now.

And it was right there — in that place where everything felt pointless — that the Lord started to teach me that I am not a victim to my thoughts or to my situations. The feelings were real. But they weren’t the truth.

The best thing I could do in that place was surrender to Him and let Him use that season to grow me. And looking back? He was teaching me things in that cubicle that I’m still using today. He wasn’t wasting it. Not one bit of it.

If you’re in that season right now where you can’t see past it — it’s not the end of your story. He’s not done.

Have you ever done your best to be obedient to what the Lord has called you to only to find yourself discouraged and confused?

Following God doesn’t always feel like we think it should. It doesn’t always turn out perfectly or without pain. Sometimes you say yes and it still gets harder before it gets better.

Sometimes you’re right in the middle of what He asked you to do and you’re crying every single day wondering if you even heard Him right.

But maybe He wasn’t after a perfect outcome. Maybe He was just after your yes. And that yes — even the shaky, tear-soaked, not-sure-about-this one — it still counts.
