To EVERYONE who attended The Heirloom Market and EVERYONE who stopped by The Hippie Homestead booth… THANK YOU!!!

It was SO GOOD to see each and every one of you! 🥹

I loved seeing our returning customers, familiar faces, friends, and all of the new faces who wandered into our little corner of the market. Whether you came to shop, say hi, talk books, admire the thrifted treasures and clothes, or just hang out for a minute… you made my weekend.

Thank you for loving thrifted things, good books, weird little treasures, and all the things that make The Hippie Homestead what it is.

But most of all… thank you for loving ME and continuing to show up for this crazy little adventure I’ve built. ❤️

I truly couldn’t ask for a better customer base, support system, community, or following. You guys are AMAZING, and I hope you know how much I appreciate every single one of you.

I know it’s been a MINUTE since I’ve shared a TRY IT TUESDAY post, but I have something I’ve been DYING to share…AND it just so happens to be Tuesday!

WHAT LUCK! 😂

Okay, so… I have been on the hunt for some vintage cutie duck decoys, and I just happened to find the PERFECT ones on a recent adventure day with one of my besties! 🦆😍

These two beauties were $12 EACH and are the perfect size to fit in my MASSIVE dough bowl that permanently lives on my dining room table.

And obviously, I already had a vision. 😉

I’m thinking my Edith runner from Walmart’s newest fall line, a cute green vase, florals I snagged from Hobby Lobby a few years ago, a couple of gold disco balls—IYKYK, I LOVE DISCO BALLS—a tasteful little dose of animal print, and OF COURSE…

DUCKS.

Because apparently I can decorate with ducks all day. 😂🦆

Unfortunately, I can’t get to my fall floral bin because it’s currently in the loft of the shed…and that, my friends, is a husband job. 🤣

So for now, you’re just going to have to IMAGINE the same floral stems spilling out of my dough bowl, brimming with ducks and disco balls.

Sounds ✨AMAZING✨, right?!

Now here’s where YOU come in…

And no, I’m most definitely NOT asking if you would decorate this way in your house. 😂

I don’t care…I LOVE IT, I LOVE YOU, and decorating is subjective.

It’s MONDAY!!!

And I’m just saying, the ONLY acceptable way to start your Monday and to start your week is to READ…🤣📚

But really though, I totally understand that most of us have jobs, kids, and lives that require us to do things other than reading…

How boring! 😂

While you’re out there paying bills, raising humans, making dinner, working, cleaning, chauffeuring, and doing ALL THE THINGS…make sure you take some time for YOU, too.

Do something you love.

For me, that means an extra cup of coffee ☕️, taking a walk, and of course…READING! 📖

It doesn’t have to be hours. It doesn’t have to be productive. It doesn’t have to check something off your never-ending list.

Sometimes you just need a little time to do something that makes you happy.

I HAVE TO SHARE THIS LITTLE GEM I FOUND... 😉💚

When I saw Walmart’s fall collection with all those gorgeous creams, greens, and purples, I really wanted to order this piece. But I decided to wait and see if I could find something similar while thrifting.

AND GUESS WHAT HAPPENED!? 😍

I FOUND IT…AND IT’S EVEN BETTER THAN THE BIG BOX ORIGINAL!

These thrifted pieces appear to be handmade and feature the makers’ marks!!! 😱

Julia Weldon ‘69 and Charlotte’s Ceramics — DANG, GIRL!!! I love finding little pieces with a history, especially when they have a maker’s mark that makes you wonder who created them, when they were made, and where they’ve been all these years. 🥹

I’ve decided the GREEN ONE IS MINE 💚😂

But the CREAM ONE IS UP FOR GRABS!!! 🤍
