The Story Behind Paige’s Place Boutique & Gift Shop🤗🛍️
What started as a little dream at 12 years old has grown into something so much bigger than we ever imagined!
My love for creating started at a young age when I began making and selling handmade headbands and bracelets. It was a hobby that was inspired by my grandma who taught me to sew, and my mama who encouraged me to bring my crafting a little further. It started small, but it quickly turned into a passion, into a dream. Little did I know, that little dream would eventually become Paige’s Place!
I started by just selling my creations to friends and family members. Then, with my mama’s help, I started selling on Facebook and doing craft events!
When I was in 8th grade, it became my goal to graduate highschool, go to college for my business degree, and then open a boutique with my mama. In that order.
But you see, Jesus has a humor, and my plan did not go that way… at all. Instead, we opened a boutique, then I graduated high school, and THEN, well… I never went to college😆
At 17 years old, right before my senior year of high school, my mom and I took a leap of faith and opened the doors to our very own boutique in the heart of Historic Kimmswick, Missouri. We started with a dream, a whole lot of determination, and a mother-daughter partnership that has gone through the MUD. But, as my mama always says, “You CAN do hard things.”
Over the years, we’ve grown, learned, taken chances, faced challenges, and watched our little shop turn into something we are incredibly proud of. What started as a tiny little shop in our small town has grown into a destination we hope people look forward to visiting!
Today, Paige’s Place is so much more than just headbands and bracelets (don’t worry, we still have those too😉). We have worked hard to create a place where there truly is something for everyone. From women’s & men’s clothing to faith-based gifts, jewelry, handmade bracelets, permanent jewelry, ear piercings, embroidery (done by this mother-daughter duo), accessories, gifts/activities for babies + kiddos, and all the little treasures in between, there is always something new to discover.
But more than anything, we want Paige’s Place to be an experience. A place where you can shop, laugh, make memories, find the perfect gift, treat yourself, enjoy a little time in our little town, and feel the love of Jesus all around you. We believe shopping small should feel special, and we want every person who walks through our doors to feel welcomed, wanted, loved, and to leave with a smile.
We are still that same little mother-daughter team with big dreams, always finding new ways to grow, create, and bring something special to our customers. Every milestone, every new addition, every familiar face, every person who chooses to support our small business, and the strength of our Almighty God has played a part in getting us where we are today.
We are so incredibly thankful for everyone who has shopped with us, shared our posts, told their friends about us, encouraged us, and supported our little dream along the way.
