Redefined

The problem with collecting antiques isn’t finding things you love. It’s finding somewhere to put them. 😆 Somehow, instead of stopping, we just start styling things on top of other things and calling it “layering.” 😝

Stop in to Redefined to see what tables you can find!

I've decided old green furniture is pretty much a neutral in my book.

I like it with white, old wood, faded books, dried flowers... just about anything really.

And fall doesn't always have to mean changing everything in the house. A few branches from outside, some dried hydrangeas and things you already have can do quite a bit.

Simple is usually where I end up anyway. 🍂🌿

I wonder how many people still actually sit on their front porch.

Not the back deck or patio... the front porch where you can see somebody coming down the road and wave whether you know them or not.

I grew up when that was just a normal part of life.

I think we ought to bring a little of that back. 🌿

Thrifting… where “just looking” never goes as planned. 🤎😂

I think I probably rearrange shelves more than anything else in a house.

A pitcher gets moved.

A basket goes somewhere else.

Something comes off completely because it suddenly feels like too much.

Then a week later it somehow ends up right back where it started.

I wish I could tell you there's a system to it.

There really isn't.

Most of the time I'm just moving things around until something finally feels right. 🤍🌿

I was putting something away yesterday and ended up standing there looking at a shelf for no reason.

Not cleaning it.

Not rearranging it.

Just looking at it.

I guess I like being surrounded by things that have been around awhile.

Old books.

Old pitchers.

Old baskets.

I never seem to get tired of those.
