A little about me......
Shalom!
I was born and raised in West Michigan. I had two AMAZING parents who left this earth far too soon due to cancer. My father was first diagnosed with cancer in 1992 and passed away in 2007 after a 15 year battle. It was his cancer battles that piqued my interest in nutrition, herbs, and natural medicine. I have a Bachelors Degree in Business Management and have also completed a Family Herbalist and Master Herbalist program, although I feel I have a long way to go before I can claim the title Master Herbalist.
In 2006 when my first child was born I started heading down the path of natural health and natural living. Due to my family history of cancer and heart disease I wanted to do what I could to prevent those illnesses in myself and my family. Being the industrious person I am I decided to start learning how to make all the natural health products I was buying, including the salve I was using on my daughter’s diaper rashes. I enjoyed making the salve so much that I started creating other salves as well. I started selling them locally to friends and family and slowly grew my business from there. In 2015 I changed my business from “Mel’s Herbal Creations” to “The Myrrh Maid.” Due to health issues I have taken a nearly two year break from my business, but I am now restocking my store and getting things back up and running again.
