# Remembering Chef Nicholas Lodge
There are some people who leave a mark on our lives that time can never erase. Chef Nicholas Lodge was one of those people.
Nicholas dedicated his life to the art of sugar. For decades, he traveled the world teaching, creating, demonstrating, and inspiring generations of sugar artists. Through the International School of Sugar Art, the International Sugar Art Collection, his books, products, classes, and countless demonstrations, he freely shared the knowledge and techniques he spent a lifetime developing.
But Nicholas was so much more than his accomplishments. He was a teacher, mentor, innovator, and dear friend. We remember his kindness, generosity, humor, encouragement, and his incredible ability to make every student feel that what they created mattered.
He is missed more than words can express. There are still moments when we wish we could pick up the phone, ask his advice, share an idea, or simply hear his voice again.
Today, his life's work continues. Through the **Nicholas Lodge Legacy Foundation, Inc**, his passion for education and sharing knowledge is being carried forward. And through the new ownership of the business, he loved so dearly, his products, techniques, traditions, and commitment to sugar art continue to inspire both longtime and new generations of artists.
We can never replace Nicholas, nor would we ever try. Our responsibility is simply to protect what he built, share what he taught us, and make sure his legacy continues.
We miss our teacher, our mentor, and most of all, our friend.
**There will never be another Chef Nicholas Lodge, but as long as we continue to teach, create, and share, a part of Nicholas will always be with us.**
