It only took me almost SIX years! 😂

When we moved into our home, I chose roller shades for the kitchen knowing I wanted to eventually add valances over them. I even bought the fabric around the same time…and then it sat. And sat. And sat.

I kept going back and forth between two different styles. As designers, we make decisions for other people all day long, but when it comes to our own homes, we can never decide! 😂

And, of course, who has the time? The old cobbler’s story strikes again!

But thanks to , I FINALLY have my new valances. And I love them! ❤️

They add the finishing touch I knew the kitchen needed all along.

Apparently, even the window treatment lady needs a little help getting her own windows finished! 😂

Every primary bedroom should feel like a sanctuary.

And sometimes, that means it’s finally time for the paper shades to go! 😂

For this primary bedroom, we replaced the temporary paper shades with fresh blinds for privacy and light control, then added custom drapery panels in a beautiful embroidered fabric that complements the colors and style of the room.

Brushed gold hardware with ornate finials adds the perfect finishing detail and gives the draperies a beautiful place to shine.

The result is a bedroom that feels warm, inviting and complete. Exactly how a primary bedroom should feel!

Pretty and practical can absolutely go hand in hand.

I had the pleasure of collaborating with the design team Studio on this beautiful breakfast nook, where custom café curtains were the perfect solution.

These custom café curtains make a beautiful statement while providing privacy where it’s needed, without covering the entire window or blocking all that wonderful natural light.

It’s one of the things I love about café curtains. They add fabric, texture, and personality to a room while still allowing the space to feel bright and open.

Working alongside designers like Studio allows me to take their vision for a space and create custom window treatments that provide the function their clients need while complementing the overall design.

Sometimes the smallest windows deserve a little attention, too.

This sweet sheer café curtain was the perfect finishing touch for a butler’s pantry. It allows the natural light to come through while adding just the right amount of softness and style.

Sometimes, simple really is the right solution.

Not every window needs draperies, a Roman shade, or layers of fabric to feel finished.

Sometimes a window treatment doesn’t need to be the star of the room to make a big difference.

For this cozy sitting room, we added cordless Roman shades to provide light control and privacy while also giving the windows a finished look.

The fabric has a subtle pattern that complements the room's colors and other elements without competing with them. And because the shades are cordless, they’re easy to operate while keeping the look clean and uncluttered.

**A beautiful fabric is only the beginning.**

When I’m helping a client select fabric for custom window treatments, I’m not looking at the window by itself. I’m looking at the entire room.

For this dining room, this beautiful embroidered fabric brought together colors that were already in the space. The soft blues and greens complement the furnishings and accessories, while the pattern adds interest without taking over the room.
