As I wrap up my part of Fall Break, here’s a little insight into what makes Mandy tick…..

After (mostly) running out of tortilla chips from the chips and queso Kingston brought me home last night, I decided to take the crushed chips from the bottom of the bag (or the “chip leavins” as they’re known at my house, haha) and dump them in the vat of remaining queso dip, to make 𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙤 𝙨𝙤𝙪𝙥.

And yes, I ABSOLUTELY ate it with a 𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙤𝙣. Hope your day is as awesome as mine! 🤣

Ok guys, it sounds crazy to say, but barring any cancellations or last minute changes, 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘂𝗽𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘾𝙊𝙈𝙋𝙇𝙀𝙏𝙀𝙇𝙔 𝙁𝙐𝙇𝙇 𝗶𝗻 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝙀𝙓𝘾𝙀𝙋𝙏 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱.

With that being said, since Halloween does fall on a Saturday this year, I do plan on pulling a couple of cake and cupcake options together for anyone still needing holiday goodies (so no worries there if you have any fun celebrations planned, haha), but any 𝙘𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙢 cake orders for that weekend would 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗣. Typically once I open up ordering for holiday designs like those, I have to cut off custom orders completely to be sure that my schedule isn’t overloaded, so please bear that in mind. You guys know that I always try and accommodate last-minute orders (especially for people that have been with me for years 😜), but with multiple October weddings in the mix this month, that is realistically just not going to be much of a possibility.

Also, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹, so as we roll into the holiday season, 𝙋𝙇𝙀𝘼𝙎𝙀 remember to plan ahead for your Mandy Cakes!!!

Ok guys, while the great Michael Scott gave us this laugh, Jenna Fischer shared that a routine mammogram - jokingly inspired by Michael’s “ticking time-bags” line - led to her early detection and successful treatment for Stage 1 triple-positive breast cancer in 2023, so I figured this was as good of a segway as anything else….

October is , and since early detection and treatment is key, let’s use these 🦉-ers as a reminder!!! Be sure to schedule your yearly mammogram or ultrasound, 𝗔𝗡𝗗 perform regular self-exams so that you know 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 normal! And anything out of the ordinary for 𝘆𝗼𝘂 merits a trip to the doctor, since that old adage “better safe than sorry” might as well have been written specifically for 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨.

And while I’m so happy to make these cakes and celebrate the end of treatment with you guys, 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 would make me happier than to never have to make another one of these ever again. ❤️

As I think most of you already know, I’ve got a list of cake styles that I’m just dying for someone to order….like this book cake!

A new chapter begins for this sweet little lady, and I’m so excited to have been included in such a special moment. 💖

(And on a related note, the castle cake topper was a feat all on its own, thanks to Kim Pomichter! I have been having a major, major issues with Amazon deliveries lately - this was the 3rd one in the last couple of weeks that didn’t arrive even close to when it was supposed to - and this sweet lady stopped what she was doing to immediately help me out. And when you are in a mad scramble of chaos suddenly, I would say that was priceless….but considering her prices were just a couple of dollars more than Amazon 😜….so when we are in need of cake toppers, Kim is definitely going to be one of our first stops! Thank you so, so much jumping in to help when nobody else could!!)

Pineapple Upside-Down cake was always my father-in-law’s all-time favorite cake, and with his long battle with cancer before he passed in February, it’s one that I haven’t made in a very, very long time.

And while I can honestly say that I love every cake that goes out of my kitchen….this one held a little extra weight to it, and made me smile real big with the memories. ❤️

I’ve been biding my time today, just waiting until I got it dropped off so that I could make this post, because I have been soooooo excited….

If you know me, then you know that my kids were raised on 90’s gangsta rap, with Eminem at the top of pretty much EVERY playlist, so to say this cake was a dream would be a gross understatement….because Em gives me  𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆 some days, haha.

From working in her favorite song “Temporary”….to “mom’s spaghetti”🍝 ….here’s to in all of his everlasting glory!!!
