warning. long post ahead. new page notice for all
Imagine you own a business, but rent the building your shop is in. Then someone takes over control of the building without your say. You can still open your shop today, but you have no guarantee you’ll be able to get in tomorrow. That’s basically what’s happened with our page.
On Facebook, the page you see is the storefront. Behind it is a business portfolio, like a landlord: it’s the management account that controls the page and other business tools.
Our business portfolio was compromised. We still have access to this page and can post here, but we no longer control the account above it. As far as we know, the page itself hasn’t been accessed by the unauthorized party. The problem is that we can’t count on keeping access or control in the future.
We’ve been trying to get Meta to resolve this, but our control still hasn’t been restored. So we’ve created a new Aélhaus page and changed this page’s name and facebook web address to help everyone find their way over.
Customer privacy is a big reason for the move. We don’t want someone outside our business potentially having access to your information or our past conversations. We want control of our own business and a place where we can confidently stay connected with you.
