“Timeless design” is a phrase we hear constantly. Our clients ask for it, designers talk about it, and social media is full of ideas about what will..or won’t…look dated in ten years.
But what does timeless actually mean?
This week, we stopped by the home of a longtime client - a project completed almost a decade ago- and it felt like the perfect answer.
The rooms have aged gracefully and look just as beautiful today as they did when we finished the install. Quality furniture and upholstery have lasted. Art has been collected and layered in over the years. The plants have grown, the sunlight pours in, and the home feels lived in rather than dated.
To us, timeless design isn’t about avoiding every trend. It’s about investing in quality materials that get better with age, and creating a home that has room to evolve with the people who live there!!
Nearly a decade later, this home is still doing exactly that. And that is timeless design if you ask us ;)
