From the walls to the china I love helping my clients with every detail of their home. I think keeping a consistent design and aesthetic to all of the features in a home makes it feel more complete. It’s the tiny details that can really make the biggest impact. I feel that having beautiful china elevates the meal, even if you don’t entertain (but especially if you do). Bobby and I are always complimented on our dishware and tablescapes, I think beautiful dining pieces elevate the collected, layering approach and just adds so much to a space… and events.

A little progress post because this bathroom is truly stunning. The floor tile and the custom hand-painted wallpaper just make it so very chic. I’m loving how it is coming together.

This home is nestled on a shady Cumberland Mountain hillside and has superb views of Norris Lake. A project for a client with whom he has worked many times, Todd renovated and expanded the residence as a weekend destination. Yet, since the family moved in, they are so content there that they rarely leave. The stylish interior design brings modern and traditional elements together for a pleasing luxury that exemplifies what Todd’s firm does best. High gloss finishes and sleek furnishings meet rustic horizontal board siding and a wood-beamed coffered ceiling in the living room. Playful barley-twist spindles on the new stair and custom millwork throughout lend character while the plaid rug running the length of the stair hall and library is both homey and chic against the wood plank flooring. Shades of green and elements that reinforce the outdoors and waterside setting abound from landscapes and hunting scenes on fabrics and artwork to the yacht-inspired cabinetry in the kitchen. The bedrooms are sumptuous or whimsical and designed to delight.

This project has been so rewarding… creating a mountain retreat for some amazing clients and today we get to see all those hours of work and planning finished and photographed.

ok, I lied. The back patio is definitely going to be the most used space. We can’t wait to entertain out here with the sunsetting and the fire on.

This may become one of the most used rooms in the house. By closing in the wall we created the perfect spot to add a tv and section this space off a bit from the other rooms, which is actually nice for a family room. Obviously open floorplans took over in the 90s (it was a trend that actually started in the 50s) but we still love semi open designs.
