A light has gone out in East Tennessee. We at David’s mourn the loss of Dolly Parton today. Our condolences and prayers go out to her family and the multitudes her life has touched.

She was not a local legend who rested on her laurels; Dolly dared us all to dream. She lovingly built up her community by teaching us to believe in ourselves and one another.

David’s has worked with her companies and charities to spread that dream across East Tennessee. We have been privileged to see firsthand the difference that dream can make when it is paired with generosity, hard work, and a genuine love for our community.

A light has gone out in East Tennessee, but we celebrate the woman who taught us to find a spark within and give it wings. Thank you, Dolly, for teaching us to dream a little bigger, love our neighbors a little more, and never forget where we came from.

Underlayment is the thin layer installed between your subfloor and your finished flooring, and it does a lot of work you never see.
