So this is my latest adventure with our small family business “Military Memories and More Custom Framing..”
I listen to podcasts pretty much all the time while working. I decided I would listen to one called
SUFFER THE LITTLE CHILDREN
I have listened to all of them (well over 100)
During one of the episodes a foster parent of one of the kids said she wished that she had pictures of the child that was taken from her and sent back to the parents. I thought well, pictures is what we do. So….. I contacted the one man show podcaster(Laine) and asked if I made a display for different families would she give our business a shoutout. I thought it would be a nice thing to do for the families in addition to bringing more awareness to the podcast and MMM. I feel honored to be the one making a beautiful memorial for them. These kids are not forgotten.
I’ve done 8 thus far and will continue to make more. The names of the children are on their display if you want to listen to their story. Some people might not be able to listen but remember, Laine is giving a voice to these little people that were taken way to soon. Although they are heartbreaking and can get your blood boiling, I have to say I have learned a lot about the child system and things to look for when it comes to kids who might be in harms way.
I have listened to detail about what the children’s likes were to capture certain layouts in the project. If you listen you will see what I’m talking about in the photos and extras I have added in the display.
I’m adding a link for the podcast in case anyone wants to check it out.
Displays:
1. Jacob Landin (The only 3 pictures of kids found after house fire. Older brother Eric has his own podcast now called True Consequences)
2. Hazel Homan
3. Judah Morgan
4. Raylee Browning
5. Jaxson Love
6. Dawson McKinney
7. Heaven Watkins
8. Quourtney Kley

I have received very kind responses from the recipients of these, and it’s nice to know that giving is healing in itself. After listening to these episodes, the quote Laine uses at the end of each episode will stick with you.
