Sometimes I get to string the tiniest of beads while doing a repair. This tiny one is turquoise. Can’t help but wonder just how it was made!

The wire size is .3mm or .012”.

Today I am adding some new products to our point of sale (soon to be available on our website!) and am amused by the software "assistant" creating the alt text for what it thinks these are: "Colorful flower-shaped cookies on a white background".

Yesterday's amusement was it thinking some of the cabochons in the live sale were nail polish bottles. 🤣

Those beautiful Czech glass buttons are all hand painted. I got to give it a try! They are then baked in that red oven to create a durable finish.

If you have read the book The Glassmaker, by Tracy Chevalier, this table will be familiar to you. We visited this small one room glass hut where this gentleman’s father made glass beads for a living. He maintains it now as a museum to keep the tradition alive.
