POV: Your cutting board has main character energy 🌙

One of our very first design cutting boards, and we still use it in our own kitchen today.

This anime-inspired board, with a mix of rich end-grain hardwood, purpleheart stripes, and detailed CNC inlay work to make it feel more like functional art than just a kitchen tool.

It has been used for snacks, charcuterie, cheese nights, family gatherings, and everyday cutting — and honestly, that is one of our favorite parts about it. It is pretty enough to display, but strong enough to actually use.

We make and sell this cutting board on our website through The Whirligear Dragon, along with other handcrafted boards, trays, and fantasy-inspired woodworking pieces.

My daughter got a piece of cherry scrap for free from the wood warehouse and her and I made a project out of it. We first did an stone shaped epoxy top then she wanted it to be a “shusher” so we put an orb around it. As I was getting rid of air bubbles one got trapped and she asked to leave it and now it looks like magic trapped in there!
Should we make more?
