I think I’m probably ruined for attending weddings as a normal person. 😂

I can absolutely sit down and enjoy myself.
But my brain is also quietly noticing…
the flowers on the ceremony entrance.
the shape of the bouquet.
what they did with the bar.
the color of the linens.
whether the centerpieces fit the tables.
the tiny flower tucked into something that most people probably didn’t even notice.

And then, inevitably, I start thinking about what I would have done.
Not because anything is wrong with it.

My brain just really likes designing weddings.
I notice spaces.
I notice color.
I notice the little details that make everything feel more interesting.
And apparently there is no off switch. 😂

Luckily, I chose a profession where being slightly obsessed with wedding flowers is actually a useful personality trait.

So I think it all worked out pretty well. 🌸

One of my favorite compliments isn’t “the flowers were beautiful.”

Don’t get me wrong. I will happily take that one.

But the one I really love?
“They were exactly what I pictured.”
Or even better:
“They were better than I pictured.”

Because that’s the part of this job that feels a little bit like magic.

A couple comes to me with a venue, a color palette, screenshots, a few ideas, maybe a flower they love, and a description of how they want everything to feel.

And for months, the finished wedding exists mostly in our heads.

Then wedding day comes.
The bouquets are finished.
The ceremony is installed.
The reception comes together.
And suddenly they get to see the thing we’ve been talking about all this time.
It’s real. And it’s theirs.

That reveal will never get old for me.
Beautiful flowers are wonderful.

But creating something that makes a couple look around and think,
“Yes. This is exactly what we wanted.”

That’s the win.

Sometimes the best thing I can do as your florist is talk you OUT of an idea.

Not because it isn’t beautiful.
It might be gorgeous.
It just might not make sense for your wedding.

Maybe the scale is wrong for the space.
Maybe guests won’t actually see it.
Maybe it requires a lot of your floral budget without changing the way the room feels.
Maybe there’s already something happening architecturally and adding flowers would actually make it feel busier instead of better.
Or maybe I know we could take that same investment and put it somewhere else where it would have a much bigger impact.

That’s part of the job.

I’m not here to see how many floral arrangements I can add to a proposal.

I’m here to look at the entire wedding and help you decide where flowers make sense, where they matter most, and occasionally… where we can leave something completely alone.
And yes, sometimes my answer is:
“Actually, I think we need MORE flowers there.”

But either way, I want there to be a reason.

You’re hiring a floral designer for more than the ability to order flowers and put them in vases.

You’re hiring our eye, our experience, and our judgment, too.

And I think a good florist should be willing to use all three.

I don’t think every wedding needs to look “timeless.”

There. I said it.

I think sometimes we get so worried about whether something will still look good in photos 20 years from now that we forget to ask a much better question:

Do we actually love it right now?

If you love color, use color.

If you love something a little dramatic, let it be dramatic.

If there’s a flower you’ve loved forever, put it in the bouquet.

If everyone else is doing neutrals and you keep saving pink and orange and yellow… maybe your wedding wants to be pink and orange and yellow.

Your wedding is allowed to look like the two of you in this season of your life.

It doesn’t have to pass some imaginary test of what weddings are supposed to look like.

And truthfully, I think the weddings that age the best are often the ones where you can look back and say:

“Yep. That was SO us.”

Give me personality over playing it safe any day.

You are allowed to email the florist before you know exactly what you’re doing. 😂🌸

Seriously.

I think sometimes couples wait to inquire because they feel like they need to have everything figured out first.

Exact colors.

Exact centerpieces.

Flower names.

How many arrangements.

What goes on every table.

What the ceremony should look like.

You don’t.

You can come to me with:

“Our wedding is here. These are the colors I keep saving. I want it to feel romantic and colorful and not too traditional… and I have no idea what flowers I need.”

Great.

That is enough to start.

You’re not supposed to be the floral designer.

That’s why you’re hiring one. 🌸

My job is to take your venue, priorities, budget, inspiration, and the way you want the day to feel and figure out what the flowers should actually look like.

So if the only thing stopping you from reaching out is:

“I need to figure out the flowers first…”

You don’t.

Bring me what you know.

We’ll figure out the rest together. 🌸

Currently accepting 2026 + 2027 weddings throughout Central Texas + DFW.
