A sweet couple from Menasha, Wisconsin visited the Antique Center of La Crosse today. Despite the 90 degree heat Blaine selected a suede leather & mouton fur coat (as an outdoor enthusiast he likes to plan ahead - this is one warm coat). Connie spotted a chicken w/feathers being used as a display piece. She spoke to the vendor and described she is redecorating a room in her home with a "Wizard of Oz" theme and she really felt the chicken would be a perfect addition to Dorothy Gale's home farm in Kansas. Being so sincere with explaining her purpose it went home with her. Blaine is a cabinet maker by trade (trying to be retired), but still dabbles a bit and he showed Lori & Jan pictures on his phone of a custom coffin he made for a woman now in her eighties (and still going strong) that is a fellow church member. It is being stored in his shop until her time comes to put it to use.
