One more I forgot to photograph so here is Love, courtesy of .bringle upon whose wall it now hangs.

I do like the lettering on this one, and I think I will make some up for the new year. The size is very useful for hanging on a door or as an accent, and there’s a lot of scope for imagination in the color schemes and reuse of materials, so they’re all very unique.

I ended the season with one unsold Joy banner in blues that I think I will embellish for next year’s markets. The rest of them sold (I want to say…14 altogether?) and I made three specifically for gifts: Love, Peace, and Joy, each to a different recipient.

I’m going to keep my eyes peeled for interesting rickrack and patterned bias tapes as those make the easiest border for the circles. And while I like mixing it up, white or cream circles with dark lettering seem more popular than patterned circles and white lettering.

Happy Nearly New Year to you all. I hope you are able to work for joy, love, and peace for all in 2025.

Sometimes I forget to take pictures of my completed work!

Here’s the Peace version of my little banners. It’s definitely the tricksiest of the words because fitting five letters into that circle is a feat of appliqué.

Picture is of the piece being held by the giftee, please excuse the angle. I’ll make you some more to see maybe next year. :)
