Our story began at The Jackson Square Mall in downtown La Grange, Illinois. The building, was originally a moving and storage business. The lobby was built to look like a bank in order to show that items would be safe at this facility. In June of 1998, the found began a multi vendor antique mall. In 2020, following covid,

we began a journey to transform the business to welcome more than 1000 visitors a week at our brick and mortar location and do more than $1,000,000 annually. Our building sold and eventually we had to move out. We're still looking for a new brick & mortar location and are going beginning a journey of curating an online market place for vintage lovers & curated boutiques to continue to support our small business community.

Wow! Did you hear?

Purchasing commercial property is not like ordering a cheeseburger. It’s a significant investment and one that takes serious consideration.

We are still negotiating the purchase of the property at 800 E 31st St. There are many steps to completing a purchase like this and then investing in some major repairs and a deep clean. If it doesn’t happen, it’s because we decide it’s not the right place for us or our brand. We are not an institutional investor with unlimited resources, we are a husband and wife team.

No matter what. We are still committed to reopening our brick and mortar store as Jackson Square collective and welcoming our guests and dealers back. We love building a story and supporting other small businesses.

While we work on this, consider supporting the other vintage stores in the La Grange, La Grange Park, Brookfield and Chicagoland area.

These colorful vintage children’s toys have all the charm we love about old-school childhood — sweet graphics, wonderfully worn details and enough personality to make them just as fun to display today as they once were to play with.

A little update from Jackson Square Collective 🤍

Sometimes plans and dates change — especially when you’re building something for the long haul with some serious goals and investment.

We had hoped to be announcing our Grand Opening very soon, but some unexpected circumstances involving our future location mean we need to postpone our opening and hold off on announcing a new date for now.

And while we're disappointed about the delay, we're also not interested in rushing a decision simply to meet a date on the calendar or race to open. We have enough business experience to know that patience is a virtue and to lean into the advice of others.

Our goal has always been bigger than just opening the doors. We want to create a beautiful, relaxing and professionally managed marketplace where our dealers can build their businesses and our customers can genuinely enjoy coming to shop, explore and find something unexpected.

Behind the scenes, we're continuing to work through the details, our dealers are sourcing and adding inventory, and we're continuing to build Jackson Square Collective online while we determine our opening date.

Update on our progress in La Grange Park.

We are open to the public daily 11am - 5pm until July 30th.

We are focusing on completing the purchase of the building at 800 E 31st and then making some repairs, renovations and a deep clean to prepare for our dealers to move back in.

We still have some dealers and plenty of inventory for you to browse until July 30th.

We are SO EXCITED to have more 40 dealers ready to move in and make LGP their home. It'll be a curated experience, with dealers creating easy to shop spaces with lots of light.

As we prepare for renovations, we ask for patience and grace. Some problems weren’t discovered until dealers moved out.

It’s painful to have the store only 1/3 full but it would be unfair to ask dealers to move in and then move out again while major work is being performed. Plus some work that needs to be completed requires space.

If you’re upset by that, please send a DM or speak to a team member at the front desk instead of leaving a 1 star review.

We walk through mall everyday and we still see something we didn’t know we needed or wanted. We had a guest come in yesterday and she purchased vintage bottles for a documentary about the Prohibition era. How cool!!!
