Kitchen curves served three ways:
1) rounded plaster hood surround
2) arched cutout pass through to the dining room
3) curved edges to the island.
They work in unison and feel good. Am I right?!

Welcome home. The entry foyer to the Brentwood Village reno had to do double duty: feel grandly welcoming and function as a mudroom for children’s backpacks, strollers, coats….you know the drill. New stair railings with brass detailing and marble checkered floors for grandness. A tall custom armoire cabinet and bench for functionality. And a spruce up of the curb appeal. It’s such a great feeling when picks up your Brentwood Village renovation project and shares it with the world. I’m in trip planning mode. It’s back to France in June for a visit to Provence (Paris-Avignon-Cassis-Aix en Provence) and I have had a wonderful time messaging with you from Stories to get crowd sourced recommendations. What’s the best way to share these? Dedicated posts after I do the trip? An update to this post now where I add all the reccos I have whether I do them or not? A blog post? A primary suite tucked in the canyon under the branches of an ancient oak tree deserves interior finishes inspired by it’s rustic natural surroundings. If you have a bedroom suite large enough to fit a sofa, I highly recommend one draped in caramel hued linen with a matching ottoman. You will never want to leave your bedroom which isn’t the worst thing in the world.

Dreaming of salvaged cobblestones for my driveway redo but will value engineer down to flagstone. The labor is less to install cobblestone but the material is $$$ per SF ($15-$30 and a driveway is say 1000 SF). So there you go. In case you are budgeting for your own hardscape. 🌈⭐️
