I also love putting together a flat lay like this before building a design concept for my clients. It’s a fun little project for me and helps get the creative gears going 🪄

It’s easy to do yourself when you are wanting to replace floors, paint, or buy a new piece of upholstery and curious to see how it will all flow together.

Happy Monday! We spent the weekend organizing our garage and it felt so good! 😄

It's always bittersweet putting away the Christmas decorations, but I also love getting my house back to normal. It's a time fore me where I play around with the decor that I have and try things out in new places.

If you're feeling tired of your decor, try re-purposing some of the existing decor you have in other parts of the home. Chances are you'll love it and it will also be good on your wallet 😉

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I mentioned that I would be sharing monthly tips throughout 2023 to help keep your home looking fresh. These tips are especially important if you have plans to sell this year, but also just a great way to take care of your most valuable asset!

Who doesnt love a clean home? 😉

So let's get started with the GARAGE and KITCHEN this month:
✅ Put away Christmas decor
✅ Clean and PURGE garage: Make space in your garage and get rid of items you don't use or have plans to use this year
✅ Purge and organize those kitchen cupboards: you know the stuff shoved way in the back that never get used? say buh-bye to them.
✅ Deep clean the fridge and support your new year's diet with a clean slate
✅ When was the last time you deep cleaned your oven, stove, and microwave?

Lastly, buy a new decor item that will make you happy. My suggestion is to find a statement vase that can be moved throughout the house for fresh flowers or stems. Instant mood boost 😍

2022 🥂Things I told myself throughout the year.

✨ Yes you CAN go back to school
✨ Yes you CAN build a website
✨ Yes you CAN start your own staging and design business
✨ Yes you CAN push yourself outside of your comfort zone
✨ Yes you CAN still be present with your husband and kids while getting a business off the ground

"Yes. You. CAN."

I am pretty darn proud of myself for what I have accomplished in 2022. And while I still have some pretty big goals in sight, I will keep reminding myself that I can do it and I will do it. And it's all because of these people right here and those who support me in this endeavor that I will keep on doing my best. Thanks to all of you for the kind words, cheers, and support you have shown me in this business so far. You have NO idea how much it means to me ❤️

Your home should be a reflection of the things you love. That includes colors, collectable items, special pieces you picked up on vacation, photos you took and have framed, or items that represent your personality. Don't decorate your home to try and make it look like someone else's. Trends will come and go, so use inspiration to find things you like, but YOU are the one living in it, so make sure it's a space you actually love from top to bottom!

The new year is right around the corner! And in the spirit of setting goals, I thought we could do that by setting some home goals together.

At the start of each month in 2023 I will be sharing some home goals that will keep your house looking fresh and updated all year long.

A big part of the home staging and design process is decluttering, taking care of repairs, and making cosmetic updates to refresh and modernize the home before going out to buy new furnishings/accessories. So instead of scrambling to do all of this at once when that time comes, why not keep your home looking fresh all year long, but for your own enjoyment! 😉

Natural wood tones are trending! 😍They help bring warmth and balance with other light toned choices like this pretty white brick lay backsplash. And while Brass is having a moment, chrome will always be a classic choice that wont disappoint!
