I tried something a little bit different. I typically make my arrangements in dirt so that they end up being a potted plant.

But I wanted to try making a bouquet by adding stems to the succulents. It makes the cuttings a little bit more secure because they have a longer stem & gives you a little more flexibility in how it's arranged.

I'm not sure which option I prefer. Would you rather your succulents be in a bouquet like flowers or potted in dirt so that they can root easily without you having to transplant?

Local Holiday boutique went great! I think I made about 20 arrangements and sold all but 3. Had to lower the prices a little bit at the end of the day. People really like the small desk sized ones for $10 and I can usually sell the medium sized ones for about $15 up to $25. For the smaller ones, I often recycle old cans and paint them so don't really have to pay for pots besides the paint - so I can offer the lower price.

But mostly I just enjoyed the process of making them and meeting and connecting with people in town 😊

One of the few mother's day arrangements I had leftover just happened to be one that my daughter helped me put together. And whaddya know, it looks perfect next to our photo. 😊🥰🫶💓🌵

Recently I went on a mom's only hike/workshop & we journaled about what self care is to us & made a commitment to make time for it.

For me, it's gardening 🌱🌵 (one of the big ones). I always make excuses for not doing it: 'I should play with the kids instead. I don't need to. I don't have time.' But I committed to doing it simply because it makes me happy. 😊 I decided to make some mother's day arrangements & sell at cost just so I could play & share my plants. Two things that bring me so much joy.
