Hey y’all! We figured it was time to reintroduce ourselves and tell you guys a little more about our business!
✨Who are we?
We are Jude and Abby LeCompte—we are a husband and wife duo passionate about creating a home. We believe in character and quality in a house. Everything we do is centered around making your house function better for your family while enhancing the beauty and charm of your home. We love Acadiana and are inspired by the Acadian style home, particularly the styles of A. Hays Town (which is why we named our business West of Teche 🤭). We’ve dreamt of building a home building business since we started dating, and now after 2 kids and almost 4 years of marriage we are excited to be building this business to support our family! 🥹
✨What is West of Teche?
West of Teche is an insured home improvement business. We also offer all kinds of home improvement services, specializing in carpentry work. Our area of expertise is custom built-ins/bookshelves, wall treatment such as wainscotting, paneling, beadboard, etc., trim work and cabinetry. Jude is an experienced worker with a passion for craftsmanship. We offer design, decorating, and organizing services with Abby, including holiday decorating, room makeovers (selecting furniture, paint colors, and textiles), and room organizing.
✨Where are we headed?
Our business is scaling faster than we imagined, and we are so grateful for that! Very soon, we will be offering full scale remodels for any space including bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, etc! This will include design and construction services from floor to ceiling. Eventually, we hope to scale to building new Acadian style homes from the ground up—new builds that feel like they’ve been around Acadiana forever. We can’t wait for that chapter, but until then, we hope you’ll support our family and our business by allowing us to help you with some of the smaller upgrades in your home.
