Today was a good day!
I brought home a vintage Century Furniture mahogany Chippendale serpentine bachelor’s chest with classic lines, solid bones, beautiful sculpted detail and that timeless craftsmanship you just don’t see anymore. With dovetail drawers 🙌
Also snagged a sweet little side table with a drawer and a mid-century modern nightstand that’s begging for a fresh vision. Three totally different styles. Three totally different flip directions. Time to get to work. 💪🏼🛠️

There were moments I questioned the direction. The tone. The finish. The hardware. If you have refinish furniture, you know that stage when it looks worse before it ever looks
better.
But I could see it the rich depth of the charcoal.
I saw the warmth of what the oak top grounding the whole piece. I saw the clean lines coming forward just by changing round hardware to the beautiful brushed gold rectangle hardware instead of being hidden.
This wasn’t a quick flip.
It was patience. Time. It was detail. It was sanding edges by hand when the power tools couldn’t reach. It was waiting on the right hardware instead of settling. It was letting the finish cure properly instead of rushing to list it.
Going with the matte wax was something new l hadn’t tried and I absolutely loved how it turned out.

Now the vision is real. This piece feels timeless.
Moody. Grounded. Intentional and exactly what I pictured a month ago. I’m proud of it. If you’ve been following the process, thank you for watching it come to life with me!

This sofa table got a full glow-up. What started originally as a red Bombay piece then was painted all white 8 years ago is now a warm, grounded statement piece with character and purpose.
I refinished the base in a soft, moody green-gray for depth and contrast, then paired it with a natural wood top look to bring warmth back into the piece. The result feel perfectly at home in a farmhouse inspired space.
She’s sturdy, solid wood, and the perfect size for an entryway, behind a sofa, or styled under a TV or gallery wall. A true one-of-a-kind piece that blends old soul charm with modern calm.

Today I added depth to the top to bring out more character. Almost finished with the top. The next step is a soft whitewash glaze, then sealing for durability. Then we paint the base and legs 🙌

Paint touch-ups are officially done and the top is complete with a fresh, brand-new stain 👏🏻

Today we added multiple thin coats of poly to really build durability (because pretty and practical matters around here.
Next up: a matte poly on the base, brand-new hardware, and then she'll be all sealed, protected, and ready for her new home!

UPATE: SOLD ❤️

This beautiful Bombay sofa table started with layers of old white paint, chipped red enamel and years of wear. Today was one of those full-circle days where I stared at it, second guessed myself, changed my mind.. and then finally got to work.
I cleaned, scrubbed, stripped, and sanded everything down, then fully primed the piece to reset the canvas. For the top, I started building depth with stain. First layer was Varathane water-based Weathered Oak, followed immediately by Early American, wiping each section back almost as soon as it went on.
Slow, intentional, and a little nerve-wracking.
Now I wait. The stain needs time to dry, and my paint is still on the way, (had to order it❄️) but I already know the color is going to bring this piece to life. I cannot wait to show you what's coming!!
