✨Becoming Her Series, The Next Chapter

Before I step into the next chapter of the Becoming Her series — the angry teen — I need to take a moment for my big brother, Bri.

He was such a huge part of that season of my life. I was already close to both of my older brothers, but during those years… they became something deeper. They were my protectors, my guides, the ones who helped me navigate a world I didn’t yet understand and a version of myself I didn’t know how to carry.

Losing you has cracked something open in me…but it’s also reminded me of how deeply you loved, how fiercely you protected, and how much of you still lives in who I am today.

Before I tell the story of that angry, hurting teenager… I want to honor the brother who helped her survive it. This next chapter is for you, Bri — for the love, the guidance, and the pieces of you that still echo in me.

A moment to breathe… to reflect… to honor how far we’ve already come.
And with this beautiful weather, I’m sneaking in some yard work before the summer heat settles in.
The series will pick back up soon — but for today, I’m celebrating the work we’ve already done.
