🍯🐝 NOT ALL HONEY TASTES THE SAME!
Some honeys are light and floral. Others have a little more character. And then there's Buckwheat Honey!
Nearly black in the jar, with a bold, earthy, molasses-like flavor that stays with you.
Much like a good w**e, there's the first impression, the flavor that develops, and the finish. Buckwheat delivers on all three!
And with the holidays approaching, Bonnie has found a wonderful way to put our Michigan Buckwheat Honey to work.
🧀🍷 Creamy goat cheese, toasted pistachios and a warm Buckwheat Honey & fig glaze. Simple to prepare, beautiful on the table, and absolutely delicious!
👩🍳 FROM BONNIE'S KITCHEN
Pistachio Goat Cheese with Buckwheat Honey & Fig Glaze
INGREDIENTS
• 1 (10 oz.) goat cheese log
• ½ cup toasted pistachios, chopped
• ¼ cup Roses of Silverbell Buckwheat Honey
• ¼ cup fig jam
• Crackers and fresh fruit for serving
PREPARATION
1️⃣ Spread the chopped pistachios on a plate. Roll the goat cheese in the nuts, gently pressing to coat the surface and ends.
2️⃣ In a small saucepan over low heat, warm the Buckwheat Honey and fig jam together, stirring until smooth.
3️⃣ Place the cheese on a serving platter and spoon the warm honey and fig glaze over the top.
4️⃣ Serve with crackers, grapes or sliced pears.
💡 BONNIE'S TIP: Prepare the cheese ahead of time, refrigerate, and add the warm glaze just before serving.
🍯 COME TASTE THE DIFFERENCE!
We've introduced our customers to Wildflower, Apple Blossom, Blueberry, Lavender, Birdsfoot Trefoil and several other Michigan honeys. Each has its own flavor, color and character, influenced by the flowers and plants the bees visit.
Stop by and discover which one is your favorite. And be sure to ask for a taste of Buckwheat!
