Would you have picked her up?

I found this cookie jar when I was out sourcing. I just could not leave her. I think she looks like the main character in the children’s book Strega Nona!
My research says that she is a vintage ceramic Kitchen Witch (or Baba Yaga / Old Hag) cookie jar, crafted and signed by R.J. Drinkwater Co. from around 1980. The folklore says that a kitchen witch is supposed to bring you luck and keep your pot from boiling over.
She will be making her way into the booth this weekend and hopefully watching over somebody’s kitchen soon - maybe yours!
