𝒮𝑜𝓊𝒸𝒾𝓈 𝑒𝓃 𝒻𝓁𝑒𝓊𝓇𝓈.
𝑀𝒶𝓇𝒾𝑔𝑜𝓁𝒹𝓈 𝒾𝓃 𝐵𝓁𝑜𝑜𝓂.

The word “cempasúchil” comes from Nahuatl (the language of the Aztecs). Cempoa, meaning “twenty” and xochitl, “flower” - most likely referring to the twenty petals of the flower.

Check back this weekend to see how we will be incorporating these bright flowers in our Día de Mu***os altar. In the meantime...enjoy these blooms that resemble the golden hues of sunshine! 🌼

The poetic symbolism of the final surviving garden bloom of the season.

The last autumn flowers of my favorite rose signal the farewell of this flower season and the period of rest. So here’s to cherishing the beauty it gave, stopping to smell the roses and looking ahead to the return of rose season. 🌹

Bonjour mes amis! You have probably noticed our new logo labels on our recent bouquets…and we are so pleased to finally share our new look with you!

Our new brand suite was a collaborative branding project with my talented friend and designer Toni Santos, owner of 𝚃𝚘𝚗𝚒 𝚂𝚊𝚗𝚝𝚘𝚜

Together with Toni, we visualized and planned, and she created a most bespoke branding suite that reflects our French-floral inspired style, that is consistent in our updated logo, business cards, enclosure cards, signage, box and bouquet labels.

Merci beaucoup Toni for helping to tell our story through your beautiful branding art, we could not have done this without your thoughtful efforts! 💗💐

And now back to fresh flowers! 🌸

I recently came across this stunning dahlia, named “Bumble Rumble,” a popular pink and white collarette-style dahlia known for its open, pollinator-friendly center and distinct inner collar of petals. This unique dahlia was on display at last month’s Washington State Fair in the Agricultural & Floral exhibition. Always a must see of local flower growers and their award winning blooms!

Today we’re taking a momentary break from fresh flowers and designing with faux flowers! 🍁🌼🌿

I am in the process of decorating our home to welcome the coziest and richest season, by designing a luxurious autumn-inspired faux arrangement. It’s one of my favorite seasons, and I am always inspired by the colors and textures! Stay tuned for more pictures of our decorated home…
