Meet Chris Reed | Parcels Design Studio
Chris Reed’s path to Parcels Design Studio started with a recommendation, a reach out, and a chance meeting at the NKBA Battle of the Chefs.
The interview followed the next day… and here we are.
Chris comes from a background in back-of-house operations at Apple, where he focused on product organization and systems. That experience is where he realized he had a strong spatial sense and a real interest in how things are structured and function.
That led him into design.
After starting his education in Tampa, he made the decision to relocate to Colorado and continue his degree at the Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design, where he graduated at the top of his class with a Bachelor’s in Interior Design and a focus on sustainable design.
What he’s most drawn to right now is floor planning. The process of taking real measurements and turning them into a space that is both functional and well thought out. It is detailed, iterative, and requires patience, but seeing it all come together is what drives him.
Since joining Parcels, Chris has been gaining hands-on experience across the full scope of the design process. From understanding what’s behind the walls, to client interaction, to working with local and international brands like Ballerina Küchen.
“I learn or experience something new every day.”
Outside of the studio, Chris spends his time outdoors. Hiking, camping, and staying connected to nature, which continues to shape his perspective on sustainability and design.
Next goal: LEED certification.
Welcome to the tea, Chris.
