What a fantastic start to the Lamar Fair!

We had an absolute blast on Day 1, and the good news just kept coming:

Window Display Champions: Both of our backstock window displays on the square took home 1st PLACE! A massive shoutout to Beth and Brad for their incredible talent and hard work.

Our decorator extraordinaire, Addison, sang so beautifully at the church concert!

Fresh Vintage Hauls: I spent time cleaning up some amazing new finds from Saturday's auction, and these will be brought into the shop and ready for new homes.

If you’re out enjoying the fair, come by and say hi! We’ll be over here in the evening. Stop in to cool off, grab a drink, and browse through the lovely mess I affectionately call Vintage Chaos 11 (don't judge my housekeeping skills).

We take our responsibilities as shop owners very seriously, and closing the store is never a decision we make lightly. Today, however, we had to prioritize our family as both our horse and dog were gravely ill. We sadly lost our horse Toby, but Beaux is fighting to get better in Kansas City. They are cherished family members, and we needed to be home with them and support our family during this challenging time. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by today's closure and are grateful for your understanding, thoughts, and kind words. Thank you for being a wonderful part of our small shop family.

A Little Change of Plans

Unfortunately, we’re going to have to delay opening the store today due to a family emergency.

I’m so sorry for the last minute change and any inconvenience this may cause.

I’ll keep everyone updated on when we’ll be able to open today. Thank you for always supporting Vintage Chaos and for giving us grace when life throws us an unexpected curveball.

As I stood outside tonight looking at Vintage Chaos all lit up, I couldn't help but smile. There's just something so beautiful about seeing it glowing at the end of a long day. It reminds me how far this little dream has come.

This business is so much more than a store. It's countless hours, hard work, early mornings, late nights, and a whole lot of love poured into every corner. Some days are exhausting, but every single bit of it is worth it.

I am incredibly grateful for the talented local artists who trust me with their beautiful creations, for every customer who walks through our doors, and for the friendships that have grown because of this little shop. So many of you started as customers and have become people I truly cherish.

Thank you for supporting small businesses, for shopping local, for your encouragement, your kindness, and for believing in this dream. I couldn't do it without each and every one of you.

From the bottom of my heart... thank you for your continued support, your friendships, and for being part of the Vintage Chaos family. Here's to making many more memories together.

This Fourth of July, we celebrate the freedom to gather with family, enjoy our communities, and live the lives we love. Those freedoms were earned through the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of the men and women who have worn our nation's uniform.
As you watch the fireworks and spend time with loved ones today, take a moment to remember those who answered the call to serve and the families who have sacrificed alongside them.
From all of us at Vintage Chaos, thank you to every service member, veteran, and military family. We are grateful for your commitment and the freedoms you have helped protect.

You never know what you'll uncover when digging through backstock! We came across this unique piece that originally came from Kansas State College in Pittsburg. A fun little piece of local history with a story to tell.
We love finding items like this that connect us to the past and remind us of the rich heritage right here in our area. It's always exciting when something tucked away for years gets a second chance to be appreciated.

We will be closed today so our family can spend time celebrating the wonderful dads, grandpas, and father figures who mean so much to us.
