Back in November my sisters, mom and I took a trip to Long Beach. On the way back home I got a chance to meet my sister’s coworkers and I immediately liked them. In August we suddenly lost my aunt, my dads youngest sister, in a horrible Highway accident. A few weeks ago her sister in law (my uncle’s sister) requested that I make her first grandbaby this blanket. It turned out so adorable, I can’t stand it’s cuteness!! Every once in awhile I make something that is hard to let go and this is definitely one of those, but knowing it’s going to a very special baby makes me so happy.
I think it’s apropo to have finished it on Mother’s Day. 💜 My Aunt Tamie was not only my aunt, but my sisters’ and my godmother. Aunt Tamie would have loved this moment for her sister in law, as being a grandma and an aunt was one of her very favorite things. I thought about Aunt Tamie a lot while creating this for her grand niece so I know Baby will be wrapped in lots of Tamie hugs when she snuggles with her cow lovey!
