Cheryl Lamon, Artist I have always sewed but when my children were small and I was busy running a garden center, there was not much time for that. Cresco, IA, Caladonia, MN.

The children are grown now and the large garden center sold. Now, I have time to do what I enjoy most--creating things from fabric. I do functional things like cobbler aprons, pieced and appliquéd quilts and handbags but also like to do wall decor'. Classes are offered at my studio September through May. Fiber artist Cheryl Lamon loves working with color, bright and bold colors. She blends these colors to make things out of fabric and adds different threads and decorative stitching to create motion and depth. Where has the summer gone? How can it possibly be the second week of August already??
Well, the good thing about that is the first Lanesboro Area Art Trail is just 11 days away and our artists are busy getting ready to greet you in their studios.

Returning to the Art Trail for its 14th year is Sue Pariseau of Sue Pariseau Pottery. Sue makes functional woodfired pottery at her rural Lanesboro studio. Sue's pottery is a joy to use for your daily rituals like coffee, tea or ice cream and she takes great inspiration from her beautiful studio location in the Driftless Region.
