For Christine Hall, owner of Swift Prints Community Hub in Lansing, Michigan, entrepreneurship was not just a career choice—it was a lifeline. Her journey is a profound testament to resilience, moving from life-threatening health crises to the helm of a thriving 2,000-square-foot business.

Christine’s story began with a series of harrowing medical challenges. Diagnosed with multiple blood-clotting disorders, she endured years of hospitalizations and even underwent open-heart and lung bypass surgery in 2019. Despite her dedication to her previous employers, her health made her feel "disposable" in the corporate world. When she was laid off during the COVID-19 pandemic, Christine decided she would never let another company control her livelihood again.
Starting in her dining room with a small cutting machine and a leap of faith, Christine mastered Direct-to-Film (DTF) printing. What began as a hobby to occupy time during lockdown quickly evolved into a legitimate business. On her 38th birthday in 2021, she signed the lease for her first 350-square-foot shop. Exactly four years later, she expanded into her current storefront, proving that "slow and steady wins the race."

Today, Swift Prints Community Hub is more than a print shop; it is a center for creativity and support for local entrepreneurs. Specializing in high-quality custom DTF transfers and apparel, Christine uses her platform to empower other small businesses. Her mission is rooted in the belief that personal hardships do not define one’s worth. By prioritizing quality and community connection, she has transformed her struggle into a beacon of inspiration for her two sons and the city of Lansing.
