This is an update on the she-shed project. It's been a while, and we still have a ways to go, but it is looking good. Next is light boxes around the edge of the deck, steps and landings, a paved walkway and some screens to cover the utility area behind it.

As many of you know, northwest Indiana got hit with probably the worst storm we have ever experienced. It took me nearly 6 hours to travel 20 miles trying to get home yesterday. I hope everyone is safe.

As of now I do not have power, along with over 300,000 other people. I saw all the trees that were knocked down yesterday. Looks like we got hit by a hurricane. I have a feeling we may be out of power days, if not longer. Which means my shop is down and I am not making anything. I will let you know when it is back up.

Today I am at Hanna Festival. Come out and see me! I am introducing the Peace Garden for One. It is a single seat bench, a small table for your coffee or wine, and a planter for your favorite aroma therapy plant. It's a great way to forget about the world and find peace at home.

New product!

This is a medium potting bench. It is 4' wide, 2' deep and 5'6" tall. Made of cedar, it has a full shelf underneath and a 5.5" shelf on top, with a nail board for hanging tools.

$350 unfinished. It can be stained or sealed for and additiinal $50.

I have been working on this custom order for a couple of months now. I rarely get to work with mahogany so it was a lot of fun and a lot of work. Over 550 individual pieces on this build, which started out as 25 boards. The bench is 61" wide with a curved seat for comfort. The planters are 24" and 30" tall and fit an 18" insert. All pieces have a hand rubbed oil finish.

I love doing this for a living!
