I remember in November last year, I would go to bed and try to come up with ways on how I could contribute more to our household (while also craving cinn. rolls!).
After having my baby, I did a thing⦠I started looking up cinnamon roll recipes and I went down a rabbit hole for a good 2-3 months. I made them every day⦠I was trying everything.
I decided to open up a cottage bakery, and within a month, I had over 20,000 people signed up to my porch pickup app.
An unhappy neighbor complained to code enforcement & unbeknownst to me, I didnβt realize I was in a jurisdiction that didnβt allow porch pickup.
Either way, I was having a HUGE production issue. 9,000 people were in every drop and I could only make so much. So Dr. Alexandra Lourdes reached out and offered help. Long story short, we came to an agreement that was mutually beneficial for both of us and now, two months later, I can happily say that her and her family have been WONDERFUL to work with. The universe put us together for many reasons.
Iβm happy to be able to do all of this and itβs because of the community. I never knew how strong a community could be until all of this happened and I experienced it first hand. The amount of gratitude I have is beyond anything I could have imagined, and Iβm forever thankful for everyone who stood by me.
