The tables are being set for the holidays which can only mean one thing… Christmas Open house is RIGHT around the corner!! Traditionally this very special one day event is held the first Sunday in November however, with that day falling tomorrow the day after Halloween, we are pushing it back to Sunday, November 8!! giving us more time to deck the halls and haul out the Holly! This year‘s event will be extra special however, if you happen to be in town and are looking for something to do tomorrow, we will be open from 1 to 4. I will be up here working on transforming the store and the shop baby will be running the register. 😂

Give the turkey his due!! Between the delightful fun of Halloween and the chaotic charm of Christmas, ole Tom Turkey often gets sidelined. And I get it, it’s hard not to want to go ahead and put up your Christmas decorations early, but save a place at your table for this fine feathered friend! We have some beautiful centerpiece items that would transform your table or sideboard along with some great paper products for the dessert table! Even if the Christmas tree is already up in the living room, let’s still celebrate Thanksgiving!!

Getting ready for Christmas at Southern Antiques is an “all hands on deck” affair. The other night the shop baby and I were busy pricing these adorable mice ornaments who are seen enjoying a day at the spa and shopping in their finest mink coats when she looked up at me and said, “Mom, these mice have a better life than we do.”
😂😂😂 Little sister is right about that!! You should snag a few of these for your tree if you also aspire for the life of leisure!

Cue the Bing Crosby because it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas over here at Southern Antiques!!! We are hauling out the holly and decking out halls with the most beautiful assortment of decorations for your home! I always always love a good woodland theme and this section up front is serving classic traditional woodland Christmas. These santa pillows have already sold out once but have been restocked over the weekend so don’t miss out on them this time!! Remember we are happy to ship most items! Hope to see you soon at Southern Antiques in Laurel!!

Majolica fish pitcher gurgle pot! This reminds me so much of coastal Italy and the great fish themed dishes (and dishes!) you’d find in the fabulous restaurants along the Tyrrhenian and Mediterranean Seas. Such a cool piece and the colors are fabulous!
