Welcome to June...otherwise known as late April, given all the recent showers!

We are already 5 days into June and it feels like Mother Nature just remembered that she was supposed to send us rain in April...and then forgot. It's rained almost every day this month!

A total of thirty one projects were cleaned up, as part of May's Spring Cleaning. We are proud to announce that Tanya Berg is the winner of our gift card drawing! Here are a few more of the projects that were finished...

We are now almost a week into June' Top-a-Long. What pattern did you choose? I decided to dive deep into my stash and will be making the Filia shirt by Asita Krebs.

Save the Date - Knitting in Public Day is June 13th. We'll set up at the pavilion at Haymarket Square in Leavenworth that morning. Bring your project (knit or crochet) and come enjoy the morning air, and maybe take a quick trip over to the Farmer's Market while you are here!

I have family coming in a couple weeks, so if there are changes to the store hours, I'll be sure to post it on social media, as well as send out a quick note.

Finally, our Semiannual Clearance Sale will begin June 23rd! All discounted items will be a minimum of 25% off!

5th Saturday Club is upon us!!

Get a good night's sleep, as tomorrow is the second meeting of the 5th Saturday Club! All members receive 20% whatever you can fit into your club totebag. Not a member? Swing by and we can get you started!

Just a reminder that we are winding our way to the end of the month...and the end of Spring Cleaning. Be sure to send a picture to us, via text/email/social media, of your finished project, to be entered into a free drawing - one entry for each finished project!! Enjoy some of these projects below that were finished this month...

June 1st is this coming Monday...are you ready for the start of our Top-a-Long? I have my yarn selected and have my pattern options narrowed down to 2. If you want to discuss possible patterns and yarns, swing on by and we can help you out!

Checklist for May!

I want to ensure that everyone is tracking the fun in May, as we somehow are closing in on Memorial Day - where did this month go?!?

We are in the middle of Spring Cleaning. Over 10 projects have been finished and I hear of more that are in the works! Look at a few of those that are no longer hanging out in craft bags -

Spring Cleaning continues through the end of the month. All completed projects earn a ticket into our drawing. Can't wait to see what else ends up off someone's to-do-list!

Save the Date!! Just a reminder that May 30th is the next iteration of our 5th Saturday Club. 20% off whatever you fit into the Club shopping bag. I think we have a young lady who is a master at packing that bag to the tippy tippy top! She amazed a number of us back in January!

If you are a member of the club and cannot attend on May 30th, reach out to me and I will work an alternate day with you. I just need to know by the morning of May 30th.

If you are not a member of the club and would like to be, swing by the shop and we'll square you away!

Just a peek ahead into June - we are going to start a Shirt-a-Long! I have my own folder in Ravelry with more shirts than I could ever make, but I love to think I can! We have a number of options to look at in the shop, as well. If you'd like to make a top and have questions, just swing by and we can find a perfect match of pattern, difficulty level, and yarn!

Now imagine if you paired getting yarn for your Shirt-A-Long on May 30th as part of 5th Saturday Club! Win-Win!!

Mother Nature is finally letting go of winter weather...time to start

Spring Cleaning!

Happy May Day! Spring is fully ensconced and it's time for our annual Spring Cleaning. For those who are new or didn't participate in the past, this is your opportunity to organize your craft area and potentially win a prize at the end of the month!

You will receive an entry into our free drawing for each of the following activities:

- Finish a project that was started prior to May 1st
-Weave in ends on a project that has been completed but not finished
- Block an item that has been hanging out near your bathtub or sink
- Decide a partially finished project just will not make it to the end, frogging said project to save the yarn for a different use in the future

Once an activity has been completed, either come in and show it off or send me a picture. This is your opportunity to dig deep and finish things that have been hanging out or simply hiding!

The next meeting of the 5th Saturday Club is this month, May 30th! For those members who will not be in town that day, let me know and we'll work a different day for you. For those who didn't join in January and want to join the fun, come on in and purchase your club bag and pin ($20). Prepare to fill the bag on May 30th to receive a 20% discount on whatever you stuff inside!

How did folks do on their TAAT socks?!? I just finished the toes on mine last week. We are looking forward to June, where we plan to do a "Shirt-a-Long." Projects can be either knit or crochet - or both (looking at you, Geddy Tee!). We'll post patterns that can work for those starting out, but any shirt project will work. We have plenty of summer yarns in stock - bamboo, cotton, linen - for those who want something lighter to work with!

Swing by Momo’s and celebrate Local Yarn Store Day! Fun yarns, fun tools, fun projects, and yummy cookies from Sis' Sweets!

It's almost time!! For what, you may ask...check it out below!

Local Yarn Store Day is this coming Saturday, April 25! You can make a yarny day of it - swing by the shop in the morning and then head down to Olathe, KS for Knitting in the Heartland. Check out some of the items we will have in the shop - Wonderland Yarns supports local yarns stores every year with colorways that are made just for this day.

Here's a heads up about the fun in May - May 1st starts the annual May Spring Clean up. Earn a ticket into a drawing by completing any of the following options during the month of May:

- Finish a project that was started before May 1st
- Frog a project that you know you will never finish and reball the yarn
- Weave in the ends on projects that need that little bit of finishing
- Block those items that are waiting on a bath

The goal is to delete some of the stress you might feel when you walk by your craft room, that contains all the things you should do...when all you want to do is start the cutest project you just discovered on Ravelry!

Here is a sample of our latest yarn - Heritage Tie Dye! This is the Spindrift Shawl by Helen Stewart. It is a perfect project for those who are starting out or for those needing a palette cleanser between tough projects.

Happy April Fool's day!

How is one quarter of 2026 over already?!? March came in and out before I had a chance to catch my breath.

How many folks attempted Two-at-a-Time (TAAT) socks last month? I'm finished my heels, which were a bit tricky, and am still working my way down to the toes!

We have had some fun new colors come in over the past couple of weeks, as we look ahead to warmer temperatures...steady warmer temperatures!!

The end of the month has two exciting events for you!

Local Yarn Store day is April 25th. We have some lovely yarn and kits in store for you, as well as a few surprises up our sleeves! More information will come out as we get closer to this fun annual event!

The Kansas City Knitting Association holds its biannual celebration the last weekend of April. Commonly known as KITH - Knitting in the Heartland - this is a wonderful opportunity to take classes, hobnob with crafters, and visit an incredible vendor market. Friday, April 24th will showcase a special guest - Kate Atherley. Attendance at this event will then get you in the door of the vendor market afterwards, before the doors open to the general public Saturday.

May April bring more than Spring showers for you! Swing by the shop and say howdy!
