Verse for today.

Ever been invited to a wedding and you have to RSVP. Before you know it the wedding date is here and you forgot. You figure I’ll just go and surely, they’ll let me in. After all, I was invited. So, you clean yourself up and put on your best clothes. You look in the mirror and think, I look so good, there’s no way I’m not getting in. The wedding is at a beautiful gated private estate. You can’t wait to see what’s on the inside. This is going to be a special night and it cost you nothing. Then, there’s a problem. At the gate, they ask your name and tell you that you’re not on the list. You tell them, but I was invited. No matter how much you argue, they send you away, telling you that it was your responsibility to accept the invitation. That’s Heaven. God wants you there. He sent you the invitation. All you have to do is accept it. Not after you clean yourself up. Not when you “look” presentable, the way you think you’re expected to look. No, you have to accept before it’s too late. Otherwise, you’re not getting in. Don’t wait until it’s too late to respond.

So much truth to this

Cheesy Hashbrown and Ham Casserole

I used leftover ham for this casserole. It was good. I did forget to drain the thawed hash browns so it had a little extra liquid but it was still very tasty. Don’t forget that step💜😊

30 oz bag of hash browns, thawed and drained.
2 cups diced ham
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese ( save 1/2 cup to put on top)
8 oz. Sour cream
1/2 cup diced onion or can use 1 tsp. onion powder
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/2 cup milk
4 eggs
1/2 cup sliced green onions for garnish, opt.
Preheat oven to 350*
Grease a 9x13 baking dish
In a large bowl, whisk the eggs and milk together.
Add all the other ingredients except the reserved 1/2 cup cheese
Combine well and spread in the baking dish
Sprinkle the remaining cheese evenly over the top.
Cover and bake for 45 minutes
Remove cover and bake an additional 10-15 minutes to brown the cheese on top.
Sprinkle with the green onions and serve.

Turkey and Stuffing Bake

I had left over turkey and decided to make a turkey and stuffing dish. I had a bag of unseasoned crouton stuffing mix so I used the recipe on the back of the bag and changed it a bit. It turned out good. I forgot to take a photo before we dug in. 😊💜

1 bag of crouton style stuffing mix, 12 oz unseasoned
Approximately 2 cups diced or shredded cooked turkey
1/2 cup finely diced onion
1/2 cup finely diced celery
1 stick butter, melted
4 cups chicken broth
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
2 tsp sage
Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl.
Grease a 9x13 baking dish and spread the mixture evenly into the dish.
Cover with foil and bake in oven at 350* for 30 to 45 minutes.

It’s the simple things. I thought the way the pumpkin spice cold foam gently flowed down after I poured it on my hot caramel latte looked pretty. Yes, I said pumpkin spice. I paired it with pumpkin bread made by my daughter with HenHouse Sweets. We are expecting 100* or higher this week in the Mo Ozarks. What a way to start September. I’m ready for everything Fall. I can pretend for now. 💜🍁🍂

Pumpkin Spice Cold Foam
I used a little 1/2 and 1/2 in a jar. I added a few shakes of pumpkin pie spice and a little Monk fruit sweetener. Measurements depend on how much you are making. I used a hand held frother to froth the cold foam.

We have been saving the eggs from our little flock until we got the first dozen. We think only one hen is laying so far. We get one a day with an occasional skipped day. The hen’s name is Big Foot. lol! A photo is coming soon. Here we have a bakers dozen.

Hello on this beautiful Sunday morning. I am sharing a recap of our service last Sunday. My husband pastors a small country church located in a National Forrest in the Missouri Ozarks.

8-23-26
We had several prayer requests and then Bro. Scott led in prayer. Our congregational songs: In The Gospel Way, The Old Gospel Ship and All Alone. Sister Tammy read a poem; Seek Ye First The Kingdom Of God. Special song by Bro. Lincoln; I Need No Mansion Here Below. Sister Lynna read a writing titled; Faithbook. Brother Scott brought the message from Psalms chapter 51: 7-17. Can we see the picture in these verses? God wants us to bring our repentance to Him. When we fail God, when we sin, we must humble our heart and ask for forgiveness. It can be big things or small things that we allow in our lives. We should be troubled enough to bring it before God and ask for forgiveness. It takes a dramatic change in our lives to show true repentance before God. David cried out to God and asked for forgiveness in true repentance. We must desire a clean heart and a pure spirit through Christ. If we are saved and fall away in sin, we should feel a strong conviction. We must humble ourselves and ask for forgiveness. We should desire to be right in God‘s eyes. Make things right today.

King James Version Psalms 51:7-17
7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.

9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.

15 O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.

16 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.

17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
