Hoping you will see me at some local Farmers Markets and festivals this season! Working on getting my ducks in a row to be able to become a certified vendor! And man I can’t wait to share all the blooms.

Reach out with any insight if you have navigated this path before as a vendor! I’ve got my LLC, insurance and tax code now- woo hoo we are on our way!

This winter has been so much colder than the last couple years! So my garage is not warm enough for the precious Dahlia babies 😭.

I’ve been taking them in and out of the garage but need a better solution, the basement is the better option for right now.

They have to be kept above 40 degrees to not freeze and below 60 so they don’t start sprouting. With higher humidity so they don’t dry out but not too high that they rot. My humidity is too high so i will leave the tops of the bins open for a couple hours to lower it.

It’s a very not precise math problem game that gets played all winter in New England for dahlia growers!

🤞🤞🤞fingers crossed I get a good amount of my hard work to survive the winter for a good growing season this year!

Time to put all the babies to bed for winter! nestled in their highly sophiphistcated temperature monitored beds. Just kidding- it’s plastic totes with cheap digital temperature readers- I’ll go in about once a month to check temp and humidity levels and either seal the lid to increasure moisture levels or pop the lids to release 😂
