I went to my first vintage auction with Leslie from , and now I understand why people get hooked on these things!

One minute you’re bidding on original artwork, onyx horse bookends, and an Italian marble table made in Italy. The next minute you’re digging through a random box lot finding vintage dominoes, casino cards, rusty church key can openers, and tiny treasures you didn’t even notice when you bid on it.

That was probably my favorite part — the mix of beautiful statement pieces and complete randomness. Every round felt like a surprise!

And somehow I also came home with a gorilla pedestal riser, which feels important to mention LOL

Safe to say I already have the next auction marked on my calendar!

Meet the vintage Playskool Nok Out Bench!

Technically a children’s toy… but it also doubles as a stress reliever on one of THOSE days.

I realized its bonus feature while the antique store employees were packing it up! 🤣

Anybody else suddenly want one?!?!

Day 2 of the private estate sale haul ✨

This was the kind of sale where every table made me stop and look a little longer.

Vintage skates beneath crocheted linens, sewing patterns tucked away for decades, two vintage Erector sets, copper baby shoes, Avon car bottles, handwritten labels on glass jars… so many small reminders that these weren’t just “things” once — they were part of someone’s everyday life.

One of my favorite parts? After I left the first day, the family found another floral hamper, set it aside for me, and had it waiting when I came back 🤍

I felt incredibly honored to attend this sale and help give these treasures a second story.

There’s a smaller Day 3 haul coming next… and, of course, the hamper came home with me.
