Have you started decorating for fall/ Halloween? I love this time of year . Even if i was still back in Wisconsin, I start late August .

Do u need a fresh outlook, or maybe add to what you have. You dont need to break the bank , there are many stores that have great finds for less.

Here is my fall look. Again its an Eclectic look of Midwest and Coastal ( always a Wisconsinite but loving our new home in Southwest Fl.),

My coastal fall decor is out and almost complete.Hazey my black princess wanted in on the photo op, lol. Originally a Midwestern Wisconsin gal now a Southwest Fl gal , I love both So its an Eclectic style .

As a Designer and having 20 plus year in retail , Im usually ahead of the game , especially with fall/ Halloween and Christmas. They're my favorite times of the year. Dont let others tell you its too soon to decorate , do what makes you happy.

Today we talk about comfort and style ? Does your home represent : country, modern, eclectic, ,santa fay ,( comfy and relaxing) or does it represent mid century* 16th-19th revival or neo classical?

Some may go for style and practicality others just want comfort .Both are great, its to the individual's preference .
When I was in school, we had a class called History of furniture. It was fun learning about the different eras and their styles. And the coverings were endless. The many textiles and leathers made them look so sharp.
Today , they still have those same styles and new ones for the consumer to choose from . Have fun with it. Try a different pallet. It may be a work of art, but sit in it, and enjoy it .After all , that's what it's for , not just to look at it from afar . I'd love to see yours ! Show me in the comments.

Hi Friends !
In the past, I've talked of different styles of decor: Modern, Frencn, shabby Chic, Country and Coastal to name a few . And I've also told you I'm from the Midwest and moved down to Florida five years ago.
So eventhough Im loving the coastal look, I still love my home heritage of country. This is where the style Eclectic comes into play. I have little hints of back home ,( the reds, greens ,Santa's, snowmen and Nativity ) I dont want to phase out that part of my life. So many memories. Lol

So Don't worry if you have an Eclectic style . Let your heritage shine through. Its your home, your sanctuary, where you: relax, cook, and play. Let others see your style radiate the love you have for your home .

Here's a little glimpse of what I have so far. The tree isnt up yet , more to come .

I love living the Salty life here in Florida but fall in my hometown Wisconsin is and will always be my favorite.

I do incorporate my coastal with my Midwest fall. Its simple touches. You dont have to break the bank for decor.

I work for Bealls part time and with my discount, I have decorated my home with beautiful things for less.

Enjoy this time of year . Cozy up with some nice fall throws and pillows, set your table with some munchkin pumpkins and gourds and give your porch some curb appeal with pumpkins gourds, Indian corn and a nice throw and pillow on your chair or rocker
