✨ By far, one of my favorite projects to date! I transformed this massive master bedroom that has a large, additional “living” space as well 🪄 This master even walks out to a deck and beautifully fenced in yard 🏡

This very large bedroom, which also has a living space, started out very awkward. The first time homebuyers thought putting a bed in front of the window wouldn’t work and made the living area, their “bedroom” while allowing the massive, gorgeous bedroom space with the statement window 🪟 to be their “living area”.

I walked in and instantly saw the vision 🤩Switch the layout of the rooms and create a beautiful, cohesive bedroom that blends and also has separation from the living area and really make that statement window pop with gorgeous terracotta curtains.

My clients said they loved terracotta, navy, rustic, wood and earthy vibes. I was so excited to deliver exactly what they wanted! We started by painting the room a creamy white where we would be using two, dominating colors. We changed all of the golden hardware on the doors 🚪 to black for the rustic feel. I then chose a beautiful, walnut 🤎 bedroom set with terracotta and navy bedding and a navy bench at the end of the bed. To pull the hues from the new creamy walls, I went with a large, ivory rug that always has gorgeous dimensions to it 🤍

We took the sectional couch that already is a grayish/blue 💙 and placed it perfectly in their new “living area” and complimented the room with a walnut floating shelf, landscape pictures to pull from all hues of the room and a large, black framed, arched body mirror 🪞 We went with the PERFECT rug and I’m so glad the my client asked for a “moodier” rug when I sent her the vision board because the moodiness really has every color, hue and honestly, makes the space! 😍

I also added new rustics sconces on the sides of the bed that have seeded glass and Edison lightbulbs along with two rice paper cylinder lamps 💡 to create the perfect ambiance they were looking for 😌 And those rattan chandeliers truly do complete the space as well!

And they had all of the plants 🪴 (LOVE!!) already for us to place in so many areas. They were still able to keep pieces of furniture they love, including a piano 🎹

And I mean…how could we not get a picture of one of the cutest dogs 🐶 who is also so happy about his parents new bed and space 🥰

✨ Just finished giving this gorgeous bathroom a little refresh 🪄

This was a very cold and and “gray washed” 🩶bathroom. With the gray walls, floor tile, shower tile and bath mats, I knew right away to add as much warmth 🤎 as I could to even out the tones to create the perfect, cohesive, spa-like retreat 😌

First-started with custom window 🪟 treatments. I went with a walnut bamboo, women shade with a darkening liner and also a valance for the perfect dimension and the walnut adds the perfect warmth while the bamboo is always perfect for bathrooms-never have to worry about mold and they stay nice and crisp!

I had thick, walnut wooden shelves installed and added the perfect warm decor including hand towels and even a an oil diffuser. A walnut, woven basket 🧺 filled with soft, striped cream towels. New comfort, water absorbing and gripping bath mats in a tan and cream woven pattern to compliment all of the walnut tones. Gorgeous, glass brown soap dispensers with black to compliment the current hardware, vanity tray and paintings that provide so much warmth, you’ll forget all about being “gray washed” and truly have that spa-like feeling 🧖‍♀️

✨ What an absolute honor it is to be showcased as the Designer of the month by Simply Windows. My interior design began two decades ago with window treatments, painting and decorating. I now run a full, interior and exterior design company but my passion, will always be window treatments. People underestimate window treatments so I always try to explain to all of my clients how window treatments ARE the room/space. They are the base of the aesthetic and design, without those, your space will feel “off” as it’s truly not complete. I’ve gone into so many gorgeous homes where the client can’t figure out what’s wrong with the space and always go to new furniture in their minds, while their windows have either mini blinds or no treatments at all.

Doing window treatments will always be a passion of mine. Just give me all the fabric and let me go into my own little universe and create the most beautiful window treatments and even upholstery at that! 🤗

✨ Swipe to see this absolutely, gorgeous transformation of a master bedroom 🤩

My clients recently moved in 🏡 and wanted to keep the current furniture they had but needed some help with the finishing touches and an “awkward space” that they truly enjoyed together, but couldn’t envision 🤔 on what exactly to do with the space.

I needed to make the “awkward space” part of their bedroom but also keep the dimension/separation of its “own space”. They like to enjoy a beverage 🍷 at night in this space and play games with the current nesting tables they had. I had the perfect idea 💡 Let’s install a beautiful electric fireplace with a gorgeous wooden mantle, change the light fixture, and add a large mirror to create a larger space while adding its own rug to keep the dimension and separation 🤗

They also wanted me to work with their current bedding as it’s new and absolutely gorgeous. I brought out the bedding and aesthetic they were looking for with the gorgeous custom window 🪟 treatments with the flat roman shades complimented with the drapes and hardware that all tie in the room perfectly ☺️

💫 Added custom and non custom wall art along with all of the finishing touches throughout the room to add the perfect amount of warmth for my minimalist and modern client to give her the cozy feeling she was looking for 🥰

🌿 So happy to have just finished up this project and I can never say it enough…window treatments can and will transform any space 🪄

✨ Sneak peek of a soon to be, beautifully designed addition to this home 🫣

First off, I have to say, aren’t these the cutest little Clients ever 🤭💕

They couldn’t be happier to have their brand new, custom made cushion for their massive bench that “could be a bed!” 🤣 They’re loving watching this massive room come together, along with their parents!

The GORGEOUS window 🪟 treatments were installed as well and they couldn’t be happier to have privacy along with the beautiful aesthetic of the woven shades and with the stunning blues, solids and print 💙 for the statement windows 😍 How perfectly does that amazing cushion go with those treatments?!

Stay tuned as we’re onto the fun with furniture and decor now so this family can have the bonus room of their dreams with farmhouse, shades of blue and woods all coming together 🤗

✨MEET YOUR DESIGNER✨

It’s been a while since I’ve reintroduced myself and thought it was time and to also, add some end of summer savings at the end 🤗

My name is Ashley Corinne Cormier and I was born in Leominster, MA and have been a lifer for almost 40 years. I love this area and all of the people I’ve met along the way but plan to move in the near future as my heart truly has a home for the mountains ⛰️

I’m a mother to two amazing children, 22 and 17 years old. I also have two amazing bonus kids who are loving their teen years as well. My boyfriend and I are best friends and love navigating life together and exploring everything life has to offer. They are my heart, my reason, and my why 🫶🏼

I started my journey as a young, teenage mom, with a passion for interior and exterior design. I grew up with my father having a background in construction. He taught me so much. I’ll never forget, being 6 years old and waking up to the loudest construction noise you could hear in a home. I woke up and our attic was blown out 😳 He then taught me about cathedral ceilings and how he was going to design it. It came out more beautiful than my 6 year old brain could’ve imagined 😂 I got my first apartment at 17 and immediately began ripping up the floors, changing the ceilings, painting and replacing all appliances…I soon found out what it meant to “rent” 🤷🏻‍♀️ even though the landlord was happy…there was my passion. I then went to nursing school and began my journey there. Did I love it? Yes. Did it fulfill me? No. I then made a career change and worked for the Worcester Trial Court. Did I learn more than I ever could from a career and love it? Yes. Did it fulfill me? No. I knew my passion. You really think I stopped ripping up floors, painting and decorating at 17? Big NO! I made my passion my part time job, always. Whether it be for a new home for myself, all of my friends and of course, the family members that love just buying and selling homes all the time 😂 “Be right over to design your new home!” 🏡

When I’m not designing, I’m usually on the move — whether it’s for work or adventure. I find peace in early mornings ☕️ the mountains and gardening, joy in exploring, and healing in the unknown. I believe life is meant to be lived, and I try to embrace every moment with gratitude and courage 💛

I work hard not just to design spaces that feel like home, but to build relationships that feel like family 💖

✨ When you’re a dedicated interior designer and you have a really busy client who’s saving lives in the medical field 🏥, you bring your visions to their workplace, on their time…and make it happen 🪄

Designers should always ensure that their clients have full trust and satisfaction in them especially when making such detailed decisions. Always guaranteeing a seamless design process for their home 🏡

I honestly can’t wait to see how this custom cushion is going to come out for their brand new, large, detailed custom bench! Their blank space addition is going to come out absolutely perfect…just the way THEY envision it 🤗

✨ Great time at John Shays Upholstering grabbing plenty of fabric books 📚 to go through for a wonderful client where we are making a custom cushion for her new, big custom made bench 🤩 With windows surrounding this large bench and them having young children, we want to ensure they have the proper cushioning and durable fabric to last them years and years to come 🤗

Our custom window treatments will be installed by the end of the month (yay!) and I’ve narrowed it down to 4️⃣ fabric selections for the bench! Cant wait to see which one my client loves the most!

I already know which one is my favorite…which one would you choose with these window treatments? 🤔

✨ I absolutely love how this living room came out! As you can see, we started with all cool tones but also with the added warmth of the beautiful wooden staircase. Our goal was to make this a cozy, warmer living room with a leather reclining couch and to somehow “hide” the surrounding sound speakers 🤭

We brought in the perfect, camel colored couch, rug with ivory, sage and some terracotta, a GORGEOUS custom swivel chair in ivory for added seating, the most beautiful end tables I’ve yet to see and actually won the award for the #1 end table of the year 🏆 We chose to do larger, floating shelves to “hide” the speakers and put decor around them that helped accentuate the tones of the room. I also added a timeless, small, wood carved buffet table to store all of the electronics in and also added a personal touch on top 💕

We finished the living room with simply gorgeous, custom, motorized window treatments 🤎 I decided to tie in all of the dark bronze-from the mirrors and end tables and use the same for the hardware for the drapes that we chose in a beautiful taupe. We went with blackout motorized shades as these windows are very high up and bring in so much light. They work and look like they just belong here now. So happy for these wonderful homeowners who are truly enjoying their new, cozy 🥰 living room.

✨ A beautiful transformation of this homeowner’s front entrance that leads into the living room ✨

They started with a gray runner, gray walls and beautiful, warm hardwood flooring. I knew we needed to add some warmth and dimension to carry the flow throughout the home. They have a picture at the entrance that’s black and white so I did what every other great designer does and made it work 🪄

To accent some of the black, I incorporated a charcoal and ivory runner while also adding the clock that is black and has gorgeous gold accents 🖤

I then finished off the space with one of my favorite accent walls to date 😍 An absolutely gorgeous console table in a rustic color that provides dimension and also adds a splash of modern, to tone down any rustic aesthetic. These MIRRORS….if you don’t own them, you should 💁🏻‍♀️ They are everything!! Finished in a dark bronze (that also ties in the window treatment hardware) and have an antique finish to them that truly make them a statement piece 🤩 With some added neutral decor, this space has completely been beautifully brought back to life 🌿
