Brushstrokes Gallery, Art Supplies, and Framing Family owned independent art shop. 36+ years. A real art store. 😊 Lots of cool stuff! The comments we here from people is "Wow a real art store".

We live in a very artsy college town that we love. We also get a lot of travelers who stop by every time they drive thru our area. The other comment we here is they feel like they are in a candy shop for artists and yes they are smiling as they wander thru our maze of a store. Often we have a shop dog on duty. Very dog friendly- cats too but they tend to be homebodies. We are bigger than we look!

Getting out of our box this am. Off to Penn State for the Spiked Shoe Invitational. (Our daughter ran in this in high school for Lewisburg 1995 I think - now her daughter in college for Bucknell 😍) Bucknell Track & Field/XC - Go Bucknell. XC! Shop will be open 11 to 5. Internet has gone weird - new router ordered - fingers crossed the credit card machine will work. Here are new boxed cards, a few random things, and Shopdog Bren camping in Studio B while I gathered stuff. She has fully settled in as a Shopdog. 💕Peace out. ✌️ ❤️

Manikinville and other cool stuff. Hand ones ✋ have hugely jumped up in price 😱 but currently only the one source for us. They are nice ones though. The mini tin watercolor sets are sweet and kind of retro. The metallic and matte watercolor sets are favorites,. 💕Yarka (made in Russia) are highly pigmented yet really inexpensive. The basket in the entry hall has become a cat hangout. Two cats but looks like more. 🤣 New window staging time. Farmers Market Wednesday- here 11 to 5. Peace out. ✌️

Random, fun kids stuff. Our kids area got slammed on Saturday - these pics 📷 were taken before. But I popped down yesterday and there are still loads of cool stuff carefully curated to be just a bit different. Here this week Tuesday to Saturday 11 to 5. A lot going on. A lot coming in. Happy Labor Day. Celebrating all the workers and the end of summer. 👋 😎☀️. Took a small trail walk at the Milton State Park. South Trail. Quiet. Beautiful. Tiny bit muddy. Just a few 🦟. River is higher and pretty brown. Shopdogs Gracie and Bren had a sniff fest. 😍 Bren is having a small problem with carsickness so we’ll need to figure that out. 🤢 🤗. One more day off then back at it. Behind the scenes shopkeeper stuff today. 😅 Peace out. ✌️

That was a wild Saturday! Cross Country meet was awesome. Bucknell mens and women’s both beat Lafayette. Beautiful day. Granddaughter Madeline did great. Got to the shop by 11:15 and bam 💥 it was crazy town. So busy. People were all so happy! Huge error on our register so still plowing through it. 😱🤣. Did not stop for a skinny minute. 🥰😵‍💫 Extra casual mode today. Weather is lovely. Enjoy. See ya Tuesday. Peace out. ✌️ ❤️

The 500 piece puzzle selection has expanded. All sorts of subjects - even 4 murder mystery puzzles. Most are now in studio B in the lighted glass cabinet - see stories. Laurie added cool signs to our woodsy window (stories again). She and Gail plowed through a ton of boxes and more came. 👍 Here on this Friday from 11 to 5. Woodsy new window - not named yet - almost done - needs a wee bit of tweaking. Thanks Kathy O and Mette. Busy enough for a Wednesday- thanks to all our great customers - new and old. Every bit helps. Prices are weirdly rising - many things are staying out of stock longer 🤔 - so we keep adding all sorts of interesting trinkets, new art supply smaller vendors, and anything we consider artsy. 😍 Here on this Takeout Thursday from 11 to 5. Summer wildflowers are starting to be over. Fall is a coming. 🍂🍁 Slow for a Tuesday -always happens after the BTS frenzy. Big batch of how to’s and coloring came in. Mr. Backyard Bird had a worm.
