Transformation Thursday ✨

This renovation was all about making the existing footprint work harder.

We took a closed-in kitchen and opened the wall to the family room, creating a brighter, more connected space for everyday living and entertaining. Then, we transformed the former dining room into a spacious butler’s pantry adding more storage and functionality without adding square footage.

The best part? The butler’s pantry is tucked behind a secret cabinet door, seamlessly blending into the kitchen cabinetry.

Sometimes the best transformations aren’t about adding more space. They’re about reimagining the space you already have.

Happy Holidays from the Milam Homes team!

2025 was a year of tremendous growth. We more than doubled our team, finished our first ground up build, moced out of the home office to our new headquarters, and won an award for our project. We served numerous clients that trusted us to be in their homes and to bring their visions to life.

Owning a business has so many ups and downs, especially owning one with your spouse. 🤣 It’s truly a daily grind but we wouldn’t trade it for anything. We are so grateful for our support systems, clients, our amazing team, and friends. From our family to yours, we wish you the happiest of holidays full of peace, joy and love. 💙

🏡 Home Tip: As temperatures drop, be sure to remove and drain your garden hoses. Leaving them connected can cause outdoor faucets (and pipes inside your walls) to freeze and burst. Stay warm and protect your home! ❄️

Transformation Thursday including a secret cabinet butler's pantry! 😮

We loved transforming this kitchen and we're obsessed with the end results. Our clients entertain frequently but their kitchen was small and closed off from the rest of the home. Family and guests would congregate around the small kitchen island and there was no room to navigate in the kitchen.

We completely reimagined this space by removing walls and opening the kitchen to the family room. Two steel beams made way for a new layout featuring a hidden butler’s pantry with wine fridge, quartz counters, and statement wallpaper. The showstopper? A 10’ “Evergreen Fog” island paired with “White Dove” shaker cabinets, Wolf & Sub-Zero appliances, and full-height quartz backsplash.
