Totally embracing all the fall things over here 🍂
I’ve got my 1,000 piece puzzle out to work on in the evenings. I’ve been stocking up on books to read and tea to drink. Love fall!!

I’ve been working on dried flower pumpkins (the perfect fall decor) and I’ll have them at Love Local Events EO Harvest Market this Saturday the 17th from 10-2 at The Spoo Farm

I’d love to see you this lovely fall Saturday!

It’s the first frosty morning here which means a goodbye to the dahlias. 🥶😭

It’s always bitter sweet because it’s sad to see the beauty come to an end but it sort of lifts a weight that allows me to move forward with the work that needs to be done.

The dahlias have been labeled with their varieties, but they still need to be cut back, the drip tape and landscape fabric need to be lifted, and then the great dig will begin. Each of the 750+ dahlia clumps will be dug up, cleaned, divided, and stored for winter. I’m working on updating the dahlia tuber shop online so you can grow them in your garden too!

There is a season for everything and I’m ready to tackle this next one.

Wrap a bouquet with me!

Over the years I’ve wrapped bouquets different ways, but this is truly so simple and gets the job done. The flowers get to be the star of the show and the process of wrapping doesn’t involve a zillion materials or steps.

Welcome October!

October (like many other months) is busy around here. October usually brings with it the first frost of the season and the end of fresh flowers.

There are some fun floral events planned and at the end of the month I’ll start digging dahlias.

If you’ve wanted to do a u-pick to fill your home with fresh flowers or if you want to check out what certain dahlia varieties look like for your garden next year (I sell dahlia tubers, but the shop won’t open until digging is done) then come out SOON, before the frost comes.

Happy bouquet day, I mean Friday!

I’m loving all the colors that are blooming now!
🧡💜🩵💛
Fresh flowers will keep cranking out until it frosts and I wouldn’t mind if that is a LONG way away. Frost usually hits here in mid-October, but I hear ol’ El Niño is back so we’ll see when frost actually comes this year. 🥶

What is a dried flower open house?

Good question- it’s a day where I’ll already be making a big mess tinkering with the flowers I’ve dried and I’m inviting you to come make a mess with me 😁

The dried flowers will be out from 10-1 and you can swing by the Flower Shoppe anytime to make your own dried flower wreath. There will be wreath bases available for 3”, 6”, and 12” plus TONS of dried flowers to work with. 💜💛🧡 I’ll be there to give instruction and advice.

Then I’ll give the Flower Shoppe one big sweep at the end of the day to clear away the mess.
