Of course I have bills to pay and a family that I have to support. But I don’t care if you donate to me, necessarily. Please consider donating to the Epilepsy Foundation. Hopefully the funds will help with research, and potentially keep people from going through what I am. Epilepsy isn’t just having a seizure. It’s also depression, anxiety, lack of sleep, memory loss, physical injuries, loss of cognitive abilities and so much more. The further away I get from having had an episode, the better these things tend to get. But the impact of every episode is different. Generally for some time after, the anxiety of having another episode, or are the meds gonna stop them lasts for a long time. And trying to run my own company, and succeeding in doing so for the past 6 years, all to have it stalled or potentially totally lost, may be the worst feeling of all. If you know me, you know I’m a worker with a big heart, who hates the idea of asking for help. But I have to do what’s best for me and my family. Stay alive, and stay healthy. 💜
