Today is Great Trails State Day in North Carolina and to celebrate it was also the season kick-off hike for the hiking group I lead here in the Piedmont! (We hike together at least monthly from October to May each year. Summers are just too hot!!) On the trail the early bird doesn’t get the worm…they get the face full of spiderwebs! 🥾🕸️🕸️🥴 So here is a spider-themed page spread for October 17 and a few bonus images from our wonderful hike this morning!

Hey, guess what?? I’m behind on posting Halloween pages again! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I seem to say that a lot! If only all I had to do each day was work on my collage journals… 😋 So here are days 12, 13, 14, and 15. I loved paper dolls as a kid and think the Usborne dress a doll sticker books are so cute. So I bought the Halloween one and started cutting it up! (Fun fact: you are typically okay to use copyrighted materials—like things cut from books—in collage or junk journals as long as you aren’t selling the things you make. If you are going to sell them then it’s a bit more of a complicated question.) The second spread is another greeting card based spread. The third was inspired by thr lyrics to “Witchy Woman” and the 4th features all different kinds of 3-D Halloween stickers I have. Even the letters are 3-D and the background paper has a texture to it!

Two pages today, for 10/10 and 10/11! Sorry to anyone who now has the “spooky, scary skeletons” song in their head… 😬😂 I really love the house one—another Halloween card inspired page spread. My favorite part though are the dinosaurs in costume stickers I found. They are the perfect trick-or-treaters for this house! 🧡🦖🧡

Did some restocking at my booth at The Funk today and added some new items! My junk journal grab bags have been popular so I added some more of those. Some have mini journals included and some have larger, spiral bound journals included. I also added some sticker only grab bags! All kinds of stickers—different sizes, subjects, glitter, puffy. My Halloween collage collections include all kinds of Halloween goodies and a mini journal. I also added some fall themed sticker packs and some stamp paper punch packs.

Have you seen the paper punches shaped like postage stamps??? I got one and I love it! This is my one true junk journal as all these “stamps” come from junk mail, regular mail, packaging, brochures from places I’ve been, etc. No purchased paper except for the journal itself. These are some from September. I love how collecting these makes me notice all the cool little details on these everyday objects. I have packs of 100 stamp punches from a variety of paper sources coming to my booth at The Funk starting tomorrow so you too can have some stamp punches from fun!
