Gotta love it! This vintage Luzianne Coffee & Chicory tin from the late 1950s - early 1960s is a fun piece of mid-century advertising now at Piper & Knucky’s at Evenbrooke!
Most tins from this era—especially those found in old garages or barns - show rust, fading, or significant wear. This example is just the opposite. The exterior is in remarkably clean, even vibrant! Love the classic rooster graphics.
The tin also retains its original West Bend percolator promotional label, offering a glimpse into mid-century marketing, when companies paired everyday goods with appliance incentives. Even more interesting, this appears to be a transitional design, with earlier artwork partially hidden beneath the label and the newer rooster imagery on the exterior.
The interior does show some age and wear, which is typical, but nothing that detracts from its display appeal.
This is wonderful piece for collectors of vintage advertising, country kitchen décor, or Luzianne memorabilia—this is not your average example.
This will arrive at Piper & Knucky’s sometime this week! Be on the lookout for it and other great new items.
And if you bought one of those percolators, I would love to a picture of it!
