Spin & Sew

Spin & Sew Hand crafted silk scarves and hand spun and dyed wools from Kentucky wools I began spinning natural wool fibers 3 years ago.

Spin and Sew is about doing the crafts I love and hoping to have others enjoy the crafts I make. I learned to knit in grade school from a childhood friend and crocheting came naturally a few years later. I have sewn all sorts of things for my girls and this continued through their high school years. Many times I was asked to sew something for a high school play or some item for their high school b

and. I dye the wool I spin and then make that wool into numerous scarves, mitts and hats. I use imported silk fabric and scarves, then paint and dyes to create one-of-a-kind pieces. Check out on my Etsy shop page under the name "SpinandSew". I make unique scarves using varied techniques and methods. I am knitting and spinning things like beaded wool and specialty threads like silk. I have done a number of specialty requests from matching wedding scarves for bridesmaids, to baby items, to specific color patterns for clients.
